Powered Pay-Off Reel

The S-300 is designed for lighter bundles of wire with a 300# maximum capacity. Wire is run from the bundle through a loop in the control arm, and on the machine. As the wire is drawn in by the machine, slack is taken up which in turn pulls the control arm upward. This activates the electric motor causing the turntable to rotate. The speed of rotation is variable with a 52 rpm maximum. The S-300 is currently used by spring manufacturers to ensure smooth wire payoffs when coiling critical parts; and to provide better wire control during high speed coiling.
